Softonic review

Create quick and easy reminders directly in your menu bar

Keeping on top of daily tasks should be made as easy as possible and nowadays, Mac users are spoiled for choice by the number of options available.

MenuMinder aims to be one of the easiest yet, by allowing you to create quick and simple reminders directly in your menu bar. It aims to make creating reminders easy no matter what application you may be working with at the time. For users in the USA who upgrade to the full version, it even enables you to send SMS reminders to your phone.

To create a reminder, simply click on the alarm clock in your menu bar and select 'New Reminder' to create a reminder with a specific date. You can then select to either be reminded by email or SMS. Both options, however, require configuring with a mail server or a mobile number and operator, depending on which option you choose. Finally, you can choose how often you want to be reminded of the event ranging from one minute to one month.

MenuMinder is a clever little tool and I really like the way it makes creating reminders very quick. However, if only it had been integrated with Google Calendar or iCal it would have been considerably more useful and relevant for most Mac user's needs.

MenuMinder is still a decent little reminder application which is ideal for anyone who has their email or mobile phone constantly at hand.
